Arthur Saulnier, 78, of Memramcook East, died at Sackville Memorial Hospital Sunday after a brief illness.
Born at Memramcook East, he was a son of the late Maximilien and Delphine (LeBlanc) Saulnier. He was a carpenter by trade.
He is survived by his wife, the former Florine Landry, two daughters, Mrs Corinne LeBlanc, Dieppe, Mrs Gerald Butler (Dorothy), Bertrand; eight sons, William, Paul-Emile, Léonard, Ronald, and Alyre, all of Memramcook East, Eugène, Barachois, Frankie, College Bridge, Bernard, Dieppe; three sisters, Mrs Polonie Breau, Memramcook East, Mrs Léandre LeBlanc (Zella), Nahant, Mass., Mrs Lisa LeBlanc, Memramcook Lake; one brother, Hervé, St-Joseph, 26 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A daughter, Leda, and a son, Camille, died earlier.
The body is at Dupuis funeral home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be from Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East. Entombment will be in the St Thomas receiving vault at St Joseph to await burial at Memramcook East in the spring.
